We are very happy to announce that our initiative Datastory has received 2 million SEK in funding from Vinnova, the Swedish government agency that administers state funding for research and development.
Together with our own R&D investments, this makes it possible to purse the vision we have for civic education on a global scale. We are humbled by the trust placed in us and committed to serve global and local communities with relevant open data and knowledge in new pedagogical formats.
Datastory has established a team with expertise in statistics, data visualization, databases, programming, journalism and design. Together, the team is building new solutions for efficient communication of small and large data sets. The team meets on a weekly basis and collaborates daily with code and design using tools like Github, Slack and Sketch.
Datastory will be developing methodologies and tools for universities and research groups to work efficiently with statistics and visualization and during the project period we partner with organizations from different regions.
